Dr. Conxa Aviñó Farret. Rehab Specialist

Graduated Medicine and Surgery in the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1980. She specialized in Rehab and Physical Medicine in the Vall d’Hebrón Hospital in 1986 in the UAB as well. In 1993 she would obtain the “European Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation”. She is an expert in rehab treatment of Parkinson’s disease, she has taught at the University of A Coruña in 2001, and in the University of Vic in 2002/2003, while also publishing some articles about neurorehabilitation treatment of Parkinson’s disease in the Spanish Neurology Society’s magazine (SEN Neurol. Supl. 2007; 3 (7)). She participated as a teacher in the “X Cerebrovascular Diseases Course for Neurology Medical Residents” (Girona, Josep Trueta University Hospital, 2003). Since 1986 she has been Chief of the Rehabilitation Service at the Costa Brava Hospital, where she leads a multidisciplinary team, with 7 rehab specialists, 23 physical therapists, 3 occupational therapists and 1 speech therapist, which covers all Rehab needs whether is at the Hospital, at home or ambulatory.
