Percutaneous foot surgery by microincisions (MIS)

We have revolutionized foot surgery by applying a procedure that allows us to correct feet deformities by microincisions one to five millimeters long and a low X-ray device that gives us real time images of the bony structures that need treatment.

The minimal trauma caused to the tissue is useful for two reasons: low post-operative pain and the patient can walk right after the procedure. Once finished, a special bandaging is applied along with a postsurgical footwear that will last for one to four weeks, depending on the type of pathology. These techniques are applied under local anesthesia and do not require hospital admission.

The most frequent pathologies that affect the lower limbs and can be treated with this procedure are:

  • · Hallux Valgus (bunions)
  • · Claw toes
  • · Metatarsalgia (metatarsal pain)
  • · Hammer toes
