Medical director Dra. Mª Josep Martí. SERME

From the sportive podiatry department, we take care of any sportive injuries which require treatment, like periostitis, fasciitis, heel pain, metatarsalgia, tendonitis, overloads or blisters. We study and treat foot issues to try and optimize the sportive performance and reduce the injury ratio.

Bipedalism and a correct balance of weight distribution in the body in both lower limbs is essential for a better sportive practice without injuries or overloads, since foot activity has an effect on thighs, spine… and the whole walking pattern. A correct biomechanics is needed in common sports that require heavy use of plantar surface (football, tennis, track and field...)

What we offer:

  • · Computerized study of the statics and dynamics of walking pattern, to analyze accurately how do you walk and your footprint with pressing planks.
  • · Frontal and sagittal plane recording with high-speed cameras for a biomechanical study.
  • · Sportive injury prevention and treatment with customized insole adaptation for the sportsman and a specific one for each sport.
  • · Guide and assessment about foot wear and best materials for each person and sport.
  • · Prevention and treatment of podiatry injuries (corns, nail disease, bruises, blisters, etc.)

Walking pattern study with computerized pressing planks provides us with essential information about the behavior of your feet and all the muscoloskeletal system.
